World Water Crisis

Why do we use it?

Water covers 71% of Earth's surface, and it is easy to think that it will always be sufficient. However, freshwater—the stuff we drink, wash in, irrigate our farm fields with—is incredibly rare. Only 3% of the Earth's water is freshwater, and two-thirds of that is tucked away in frozen glaciers or unavailable for our use. Billions of people in the world lack access to water, and 2.7 billion people find water scarce for at least one month of the year. Inadequate sanitation is also a major problem for 2.4 billion people presented to sicknesses, such as cholera and typhoid fever, and other water-borne diseases. A large number of children die each year from diarrheal diseases. Make a Donation Today!!
